Announcement

LEGO might be preparing to produce light kits, customizations and jewelry products!

The title is not a clickbait like a newspaper site, but I thought carefully so that it could be a summary for this news. This article published on LEGO ideas site today gives very serious hints about new products. The article mentions a new entity, which is called the User Lead User Lab.

What is the Lead User Lab, why it was founded, how it works, for what, what ideas are looking for are the questions all explained in the blog post but the most striking point in the article is the survey given at the end of it.

When you click on the survey, you will see three main topics. Lighting, jewelry and customizations. I immediately clicked on the lighting, which excites me the most. Questions are usually related to the lighting kits produced specifically for the sets that we see on Chinese shopping sites. In my opinion, these kits sold at exorbitant prices compared to the quality of the material and obviously they have attracted the attention of LEGO. LEGO also asks you about positive and negative features of these kits and in case of LEGO produces it, if you prefer to buy or not.

In jewelry section of the survey, LEGO is looking for answers to questions about what kind of accessories we like to use, how often we shop for accessories and which accessories will be of interest to us.

As you can see above, there is a wide range of possibilities. In the coming years, it is possible to see any of the three above on the shelves in the first place.

Another item of the survey customisation, is also very interesting. First of all, LEGO asks what comes to mind when it comes to customisation. What they ask is very interesting.

Now it feels like you’re going to get dizzy :). From the stickers of the old sets to the designs that LEGO can create to customize the minifigures. Or stickers with patterns that add more detail to the models. Even a dream! Imagine that the products adorn the shelves!

Another question in the category of customisation is for the train lovers. LEGO is asking if customers will buy a rail track from a third party company and if so, why. The question of whether buy 3D printed train tracks makes us think that if LEGO is going to give a huge possibility of freedom to the LEGO train fans.

You can find and fill out the survey from the blog post I gave at the beginning of this post. Quite exciting news and poll. In the meantime, I think I was one of the first websites in the internet that announces this news:)

Have an awesome day! 🙂
